Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency are proud to celebrate the launch of, Tapuwae Roa, formerly known as Te Pūtea Whakatupu Trust.

Tapuwae Roa has been a funding partner with Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency for our tamariki numeracy literacy programme, Te Kete Aronui, for the past four years.

The event saw the launch of the investment report on Te Kete Aronui and the appointment of Whānau Ora Board member, Bernie O'Donnell and COO Awerangi Tamihere to the Board of Tapuwae Roa.

"The success of these programmes have seen hundreds of tamariki supported in their communities to achieve positive educational outcomes. To see a social return on investment analysis of Te Kete Aronui in this report has just showcased how staggering the results are," Awerangi shared.

Te Kete Aronui programmes are delivered by Whānau Ora providers Te Roopu Awhina ki Porirua, Te Kohao Health, Manukau Urban Māori Authority, and Te Whānau o Waipareira.

Te Kete Aronui extends its support by enabling parents as first teachers and empowers whole communities to embrace pathways for transformational whānau change through education.
