OUR INITIATIVES

COVID-19 Rapid Response

Distributed over 240,000 care packages to 138,000 whānau, benefiting around 400,000 people. Set up over 40 mobile clinics and testing stations to ensure access to COVID-19 testing, especially in rural areas. 729% increase in grant applications, with over 10,000 applications processed to assist whānau in purchasing essential items.

COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign

Established 200 vaccination sites across the North Island from July 2021 to May 2022. Administered 844,214 vaccinations, with 241,561 doses going to Māori, representing 28.6% of the total. Campaign saw over 50% of eligible unvaccinated Māori receive their first dose.

CENSUS

‘Rep My Suburb’ campaign launched to improve Māori census completion rates, aiming for 10,000 completed forms in Auckland. The campaign exceeded expectations, achieving 39,000 completed forms in just three weeks at a cost per completion of just $8.43.
