Pae Rangi the first Indigenous Social Enterprise Forum in Tāmaki Makaurau was recently hosted by our Tāmaki collective, Te Pae Herenga o Tāmaki.
Set over two days, the opening event hosted a plethora of Māori and Pasifika speakers including Dame Valerie Adams, Dave Letele, Misty Rātima and The Casketeers.
The full-day forum following included keynote speakers, Pita Turei and John Tamihere who lead the proceedings. This was followed by several panels discussing a range of topics including brand building and creating a workforce, to Te Ao Māori business practices and sustainability.

Forum hosts Te Pae Herenga o Tāmaki plan to make this an annual event which Whānau Ora Chair Merepeka Raukawa-Tait agreed with.
“Rarely do we press the pause button to look and acknowledge ourselves in this way. This is the perfect forum for us to pass on invaluable knowledge to support our whānau who are innovators and creators".
Pae Rangi 2023 concluded with Pātaka Kai, an exclusive dinner created by world renowned New Zealand chef Peter Gordon at his Tāmaki Makaurau restaurant, Homeland.
