Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency are pleased to present our Annual Report for 2019-2020 that showcases the phenomenal response of our Whānau Ora partners during COVID-19 . A response that continues today as we get used to this post COVID-19 landscape.
“WOCA were nothing short of impressive this year. We have been helping our people towards brighter futures for six years but COVID-19 really brought us together as a massive taskforce against this pandemic. And we were extraordinary. We backed our targeted plan and we made sure to connect with all whānau – especially those isolated and vulnerable. And we collectively exceed our expectations”. WOCA Chair, Merepeka Raukawa Tait
COVID does not discriminate and there is no hierarchy when it comes to protecting our people against it. WOCA front-line staff delivered kai packs, marae become distribution centres, kaiārahi re-deployed Whānau direct and senior management worked online to communicate with our people – comforting and updating.
We thank each and every one of our partners and volunteers. We were diligent, we were impactful and together we made it happen because we believed in ourselves and each other.
