The next phase of the national Māori Inquiry into Oranga Tamariki is a hui on Monday, 19th August at the Novotel Hotel, Hamilton, to confirm the scope and purpose of the inquiry.
The national hui will launch the Māori-led inquiry into the way that the Ministry for Vulnerable Children (calling themselves Oranga Tamariki) operates against its obligations to Māori. This ministry is being examined due to its practices around removing children from their families.
